Barcelona consider shock £90m move for Antoine Griezmann if Neymar joins PSG

BARCELONA are considering a shock move for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, according to reports in Spain.

Barcelona are in a market for a new striker this summer as they prepare for life without Neymar.

Neymar has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks, with the Brazilian keen on a new challenge.

The likes of Juventus’ Paulo Dybala and Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho have been touted as potential replacements, but Barca fear they could be priced out for the duo.

And now Spanish outlet Marca claim Barca could make a move for Atletico Madrid hitman Griezmann.

Griezmann was expected to join Manchester United earlier this summer but he instead opted to sign a new contract at Aletico due to the La Liga club’s transfer ban.

Barcelona know they can afford the Frenchman due to his £90million release clause, with Neymar expected to join PSG for a record £199m fee.

Barca are keen to keep hold of Neymar this summer but club president Josep Maria Bartomeu admitted they could struggle if he wants to leave.

"Neymar is still here, he's one of our best players and we do not want to lose him," he said in an interview with the New York Times. "But, you know, it's the players who decide if they want to leave. They can decide."

French broadcaster RMC reported this morning that Neymar had agreed a five- year deal with PSG worth around £27m a season.
