YOUNG GERMAN STAR COULD BE THE IDEAL SIGNING TO REPLACE MAHREZ AT LEICESTER
Leicester have had a rather uneventful summer this time around, with the majority of it spent batting half hearted offers away for star man Riyad Mahrez in for the most part.
The Foxes look set to lose their star man if the press is to be believed, with both Arsenal and Spurs now joining Roma in the hunt for the Algerian winger.
The Leicester fans here in the Tavern though are pretty content with proceedings, and our landlord has been serving up plenty of ale to them this week as they have been looking ahead to another season in the Premier League.
However the club will need to act quickly if Mahrez is sold, and one player he thinks could add real quality to the midfield is Schalke and Germany starlet Max Meyer.
The young midfielder has long been touted as one of the brightest young stars in the German game, and as he gains more experience, it is easy to see why there is such hype around him.
The 21-year-old will no doubt be a man in demand this summer, but Leicester have gone and spent big in the past, as the signing of Islam Slimani showed last term.
Meyer can score, create, and run a game from the midfield, and he really is the sort of player who could take things to the next level at the King Power.
A top player, he would be an exciting addition to the top flight here in England given the chance to impress, something which he might well get to do should Leicester make a move for him.
