Deportivo seek deal for Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles

The soap opera of the summer up in La Coruna is undoubtedly Deportivo's quest to sign a new goalkeeper and a deal for Joel Robles is now at the centre of the club's attention.

Previous custodian German Lux has left on a free transfer to River Plate and Poland international Przemyslaw Tyton is set for his own exit,

opening up a big space in the Galicians' squad.Possible replacements in the form of Diego Alves, Roberto and Porto's Jose Sa have all collapsed with Flamengo and Malaga respectively nipping in for the first two shot-stoppers on that shortlist.

That leads Depor to Joel, a man refusing to extend his contract at Everton as it enters its final 12 months and without a genuine chance of taking up a regular spot between the posts next year, following Jordan Pickford's arrival.

Already, several sides have gotten in touch with Robles' agent over a move and he seems set to return to LaLiga.

Furthermore, the door for Pepe Mel's side is open after talks with Getafe stalled.Should the move for Joel fall down,

Deportivo could always turn back to Belgian keeper Davy Roef who would be willing to return on loan to Estadio Riazor and fight for the No. 1 jersey with Ruben Martinez.
