Day 7 was an action-packed day of tennis.

So much happened, with a plethora of upsets.

None bigger than Coco Gauff (4) losing to Anastasia Potapova in three sets. Amanda Anisimova (6), two-time Slam finalist a year ago, also lost in three sets to France’s Diane Parry.

The women’s singles draw saw Naomi Osaka (16) advance in three sets over American Iva Jovic. Osaka will face world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the round of 16, who is aiming to win her first French Open title.

On the men’s side, Matteo Berrettini won in five sets 15-13 in a super tiebreak and Juan Manuel Cerundolo, who upset Jannik Sinner (1), was victorious in the third-longest match in Roland Garros history (5 hours, 58 minutes), defeating Martin Landaluce in five sets.

Action-packed indeed at Stade Roland Garros.
