Is New England on blowout watch?
The Patriots’ rough start to the season after representing the AFC in the Super Bowl in February has been well-documented, and a 1-3 start is firmly on the table for Mike Vrabel’s squad as a road matchup with the 3-0 Bills looms.
After finishing second in MVP voting a season ago, Drake Maye has been awful to start this campaign, totaling just 585 passing yards with a single touchdown and six interceptions through three weeks. In fact, his only touchdown pass came in Week 1 against Seattle. Without A.J. Brown, New England’s offense has shown little juice and has been quite predictable, even in its lone win over Pittsburgh.
Did I mention that critical pieces Christian Gonzalez and Christian Barmore have both been ruled out with shoulder injuries?
The Patriots could be in real trouble this afternoon.
