It’s interesting to note that Kyle Kirkwood’s two race victories during the 2026 IndyCar Series season came in events that happened for the first time.
In March, Kirkwood won the Streets of Arlington, the first-ever street circuit taking place in Arlington, Va. Then, across the Potomac River in August, Kirkwood wins the maiden Freedom 250 event in Washington, D.C.
Kirkwood remains a master at street circuits, and this year proved that.
