Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is once again having a stellar postseason.

He sits second in the playoffs in scoring with 30.6 points per game. This is after SGA was second in the NBA this season in scoring (31.1 points per game) and 12th in field goal percentage (55.3 percent).

Alexander’s Game 1 against the Lakers didn’t jump off the page on the stat sheet. He only had 19 points compared to reaching 42 in Game 3 of the Thunder’s first-round series against the Phoenix Suns.

But SGA was efficient, shooting 53.3 percent from the floor. He added six assists, showing his ability to create offense with ball movement.

For the Lakers to win this series, they need to limit SGA’s production — a big ask against one of the best guards in the NBA.
