Manchester United striker Chido Obi is in the the Netherlands finalising a loan move to Eredivisie side Willem II.
The Athletic reported on Tuesday that the two clubs were in talks over a temporary move for the 18-year-old.
The teenage forward is now close to completing the transfer. The move should allow Obi to get regular senior minutes as he finds himself behind the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Joshua Zirkzee in the United striker pecking order.
Obi left former club Arsenal in the summer of 2024 and joined Man United in October of that year. The Denmark under-21 international broke onto the scene for United under Ruben Amorim in 2024-25, making seven Premier League appearances and one in the FA Cup.
He spent last season in the youth team, scoring 20 goals in 37 games for the Under-18s and Under-21s. The next step in his development would be to get consistent game-time at first-team level.
Obi, a former England under-16 international, also had interest from Dutch side Feyenoord earlier in the window.
