The high-speed nature of this street course means the Madring has drawn plenty of comparisons with Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
Indeed, the way the FIA chose to move walls back from blind corners and add painted bumps to help the drivers with track limits has been taken directly from the early races in Jeddah since 2021.
But one thing that really stands out already in FP1 here is the elevation changes of the Madring compared to the flat, seaside venue in Jeddah.
This way is much, much more visibly interesting and the cars look sensational at speed all around the lap.
